Even in the darkest of times, there is light to be found. This is Luna Lovegood's message to Harry Potter and to us.
lyrics
I think they think I’m a bit odd, you know,
But I’m sure I’ll get by;
And I’ve seen horrible things that even still can keep me awake at night,
Too scared to flee, too sad to fight;
But there in the dark, if I open my heart and my eyes, I can see it.
You and I and all will find great evil in our time,
But when you face the darkness, don’t forget the light.
I know they say I believe in silly things
Like wrackspurts and nargles and you;
And I know maybe better than most the worth of wit and wisdom, but I know, too,
That facts aren’t quite the deepest truth;
So I look for the light in the world, in your eyes, and I choose to believe it.
You and I and all decide what’s worthy of our minds,
So when you see what’s broken, don’t forget what’s right;
When you face the darkness, don’t forget the light.
You and I and all alike are fighting for our lives,
And you’ll ignite a flame inside our hearts, inside our eyes,
But careful, careful, as you lead us through the night,
Keep us mindful of what’s worthy, of our many reasons why;
As you fix what’s broken, don’t forget what’s right;
As you fight the darkness, don’t forget the light.
As you fight the darkness, don’t forget the--

The moment I heard 'Forget the Girl' on a mix years ago, I fell in love, and I was so delighted to find more music by the same band. Avery's lyrics are a standout in the world of wizard rock, and I don't say this lightly. His grasp of characters and the heartfelt, poetic songwriting and delivery are second to none. I adore songs about canon relationships that give me new insights, and this album does that so well. yourwizardrockresource
